Each organization that encompasses the United Greek Council (UGC) has an individual recruitment process and depending upon the chapter, this process may be referred to as Recruitment, Membership Intake, or Rush. While most chapters recruit new members at the beginning of the fall and spring semester, each chapter’s process for taking new members varies in accordance with their specific needs and inter/national requirements.

UGC recruitment includes participation in fall and spring Get On Board Day. Chapters will also be hosting tabling events and programs throughout the semester and will register different events on campus, advertised through the SOURCE, to recruit members.

Membership Requirements

To be eligible to join a UGC organization, you should:

  • have UA enrollment
  • meet individual chapter requirements

Since membership in some UGC organizations is based on special interest, pursuing a specific major, and/or student involvement; students interested in joining a UGC organization should visit the chapter’s website and/or contact the chapter directly, regarding specific membership requirements.
